Dr. Jason Kaminski
Optometrist in Longmont, CO
Dr. Jason Kaminski was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition in 1992. He went on to attend the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, completing his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1996.
In 1995, Dr. Kaminski was awarded the Seymour Galina Grant for his essay “Professionalism and Ethics”. Dr. Kaminski has also been published in both the Journal of Behavioral Optometry in 1995, and in optometry’s major publication, the Journal of the American Optometric Association in 1997. Dr. Kaminski belongs to the American and Colorado Optometric Associations, as well as being a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
In addition to his professional life as an eye doctor, Dr. Kaminski has lived in Longmont for 19 years and is active in his community: he’s served on the Longmont Museum Advisory Board, is a past-president of the Longmont Twin Peaks Rotary Club, and has been a member of both the Longmont and Carbon Valley Chambers of Commerce. He races his bicycle as a member of Old School Industries bike team, and does some crazy long distance cycling as a member of the Rocky Mountain Cycling Club. His athletic accomplishments in 2018 included three 200 mile cycling events, three 100+ mile gravel races, and a six-day 750 mi cycling tour in the mountains of Colorado.
He is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan, and has been known to schedule his autumn Saturdays around the Buckeye’s television football schedule. In addition to running and cycling, his other interests include spending time with his family (of course!), drinking good beer, and gardening.
Dr. Kaminski, his wife, Katie, and their children, Kenna and Owen, live in Longmont.
